HMA Quarterback Reports to Baseball Camp

Major League Baseball pitchers and catchers report for spring training in a month.

Those attending the Arizona Diamondbacks Fourth Annual Fantasy Camp are now in session.  I am among them.

If you’re a baseball person – you should be envious that I am in Tucson playing baseball all week and hanging out with Mark Grace, Matt Williams, Steve Finley and Mark Fetters, to name a few.

There are also some media types in camp, including Arizona Republic columnist Dan Bickley and Mike Jurecki, the morning team from Extra Sports 910.

Weeks like this remind me that the older my friends and I get, the better we were.  But then, why let the facts get in the way of a good story.

As well intended as this is, I must say it is painful. We have the 3rd snowfall cover since just before Christmas. When anyone talks sports, we’re talking about skiing. When we talk baseball, we’re referring to the future — following innauguration, after Valentine’s day, post groundhog day.

    Then we get mud season.

Please tame blogs, such as the above, and tame them to browse in the warmer climes.

    Gotta go and shovel snow.
