Pool ToysOur client, Presidential Pools & Spas, kicked off summer right, re-opening its expansive pool park at 525 E. Baseline Road on Friday with a free fundraising BBQ that collected more than $2,000 worth of pool toys for the YMCA aquatics centers. Hundreds of members of the community attended the poolside party, including folks from the Chandler and Maricopa Chambers of Commerce, who both performed ribbon-cuttings to fete the event.

Chandler Chamber Ribbon Cutting“Wow – our fellow chamber members as well as many of our friends in the pool industry came out in droves to support us,” said Presidential Pools owner Tim Murphy. “In these tough times, it is inspiring to see so many people being so generous.”

Prez Pools Filling YMCA TruckFellow pool and real estate industry friends including National Pool Tile, Superior Pool Products, Cactus Valley Pool Supplies, Hendricks and Partners and many more pulled up to the event with trucks full of water noodles, floaties and beach balls to support the cause. Channels 3, 5, 10 and 15 also came out to cover the event.

“We had no idea this party would raise so many toys,” said the YMCA’s John Piantek. “In fact, we were planning to donate all the proceeds from the event to the Gilbert/Chandler YMCA, but there are so many toys that we are going to be able to spread the wealth to all of our Valley of the Sun YMCAs.”

Chandler Litle LeagePresidential Pools also welcomed the Chandler National Little League to the event and donated $500 to support their organization.

In addition to all of the charitable elements at the party, event attendees also enjoyed burgers, dogs, cookies, music, prize drawing and a tour of the new park.

Maricopa NoodleGiven the success of the fundraiser, Presidential Pools is considering putting together more parties for good causes throughout the summer pool season.
